I impulsively purchased a dog feeding mat because I was sick of stepping in dog food first thing in the morning. I didn't think it would matter, but now I regret not getting one sooner. I simply wipe it down after every meal, and it keeps everything in its proper place. At least the floor isn't a complete mess anymore, even though my golden isn't exactly a tidy eater.
